Safety instructions for the adventure trails

The standards SFS-EN 15567-1 and SFS-EN 15567-2, which define the safety norms for the structure, safety requirements and operation of adventure trails, are followed in the construction and operation of Flowpark trails. The condition of the trails is inspected through regular routines and maintained according to a pre-planned maintenance programme. As climbing equipment, we use branded products from well-known climbing equipment manufacturers, and the equipment is inspected after every use. In addition, all equipment and trails undergo a complete annual condition inspection.

These safety instructions contain mandatory rules that all users of Flowpark adventure trails, hereinafter referred to as ”customer”, must follow.

  1. The customer must be at least 120 cm tall, excluding low courses, and must follow the height limit defined separately for each trail.
  2. Customers under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult supervisor. One adult may supervise a maximum of four customers under 14 years of age. An adult accompanying children under 10 years of age must climb with them on the trails, excluding low courses. The adult supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the customers under 14 years of age under their supervision follow the safety instructions.
  3. The guardian of a person under 18 years of age must give permission for the minor to participate in the adventure and must read and accept the safety instructions.
  4. The customer is not allowed to remove the rented climbing equipment while moving on the trails or hand it over to another person. If the customer needs to remove the harness, for example to use the toilet, the customer is required to ask the staff to check that the harness has been put back on correctly. The customer is not allowed to leave the Flowpark area with the equipment. The equipment must be returned to the equipment distribution point when the customer finishes the adventure.
  5. A day ticket entitles the customer to use the park’s trails during one day within the park’s opening hours. The ticket expires when the customer leaves the park.
  6. Entering the adventure trails is forbidden until the customer has received the necessary instructions for using the trails from the staff. Before entering the actual trails, the customer must demonstrate on the test trail that they know how to use the equipment correctly. The customer may enter the adventure trails only after the staff has given permission. After receiving the instructions, the customer is responsible for acting correctly on the trails.
  7. The customer must take their own skills, physical condition and mental state into account while adventuring. The customer is responsible for evaluating their own condition. Flowpark does not recommend climbing for pregnant persons.
  8. Entering the trails under the influence of alcohol, medication or intoxicating substances is not allowed. Adventuring while ill is strictly forbidden.
  9. When moving on the adventure trail, the carabiners on the harness must be continuously attached to the safety line marked in blue. Never detach both carabiners at the same time.
  10. A maximum of 3 people may be on an adventure trail platform at the same time. A maximum of 2 people may be in a task element at the same time. A sufficient safety distance, at least 3 metres, must be kept from the person ahead, and disturbing another person’s performance is not allowed. An adult supervising a child may move through a task together with the child without keeping the safety distance.
  11. The customer must follow all instructions given by the staff as well as all signs and rules on the trails.
  12. Flowparking is physical activity, and scratches and bruises may occur. Accidents may also happen, as in any other sport. Flowpark does not have separate accident insurance coverage. Each customer should evaluate their own insurance coverage before entering the trails.
  13. Moving on the adventure trails may cause damage to the customer’s clothing or personal belongings. Flowpark is not responsible for damage to or soiling of the customer’s clothing or property.
  14. The customer must use the rented equipment carefully. The customer is not allowed to cause damage to the structures of the adventure trails. If damage is caused to the equipment or trail structures due to the customer’s negligence or intentional actions, the customer is liable to compensate Flowpark for the price of the equipment or the repair costs of the structures.
  15. Flowpark has the right to prevent a customer from entering the adventure trails if the staff considers that the customer is not able to complete the trails safely. Flowpark staff also have the right to remove a person from the trails if the person is found to pose a danger to the trail structures, themselves or other customers.
  16. Flowpark staff have the right to interrupt activities due to threatening weather conditions. In this case, the customer must leave the trail immediately.
  17. The paid entrance fee will be refunded only if the customer has to leave the trail due to a reason attributable to Flowpark. In the situations mentioned in sections 15 and 16, the fee will not be refunded.
  18. Flowpark reserves the right to use videos and photographs taken by Flowpark for marketing purposes.
  19. Smoking is not allowed in the park area. Flowpark is a smoke-free area.
